Biotechnology is one of the most important areas in science.  In order to cultivate our students to be a brilliant scientist, we introduce a school-based biotechnology in our junior forms (S.1-3).  We are pleased that this new subject is greatly supported by Hong Kong Biotechnology Association.

To facilitate both learning and teaching of biotechnology, we have established a biotechnology laboratory which is well equipped with a number of advanced equipment such as a class II biological safety cabinet, fluorescent microscopes, gel documentation system and high-speed centrifuge.

With the support by these facilities, our students can explore many interesting experiments.  For example, all of our students will have opportunities to do experiments on investigating microorganisms (e.g. fungi and bacteria). In addition, all students will learn how DNA controls a cell, what GM food is and how modern DNA technology can modify organisms.
