Joint-School gifted science education programme -- 'Budding Scientists' |
Background We are one of the few secondary schools implementing the gifted science education programme covering both junior secondary and senior primary sections. Taking the advantage gained through the through-train policy, we collaborate with our affiliated primary school, Po Leung Kuk Luk Hing Too Primary School, to carry out the joint-school gifted science education programme ‘Budding Scientists’. This programme is designed to cater the educational needs of the gifted primary six students to better prepare them for the junior as well as senior science curriculum. Aim To foster the development of scientific literacy and competences in science for the gifted primary six students Teaching contents Problem based learning and inquiry-based learning are the two major pedagogies employed in this programme.
