Student Education Fair on Science, Technology and Mathematics 2016 Print E-mail

The opening ceremony was addressed by Mr. Eddy Ng Hak-kim, the Secretary for Education of Hong Kong and Professor Lap- Chee Tsui, the founder of the Academy of Science on 22nd January, 2016 at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium, the Hong Kong Science Park.

We are one of the forties secondary schools honorably invited by the Science Education Section of the Education Bureau to present our ubiquitous Science gifted education programs and students’ excellence achievements in territory-wide competitions to educators and visitors in the above mentioned education fair. There are two major focuses of our exhibition. Firstly, we introduced our pull-out STEM research-based learning model. The school-based ‘Neuroscience Curriculum’ and ‘Horseshoe Crab Elite Program’ were two highlights of our continual developing STEM projects. Secondly, our ‘Through-train Gifted Education Program’ covering from primary to secondary school levels was highlighted for the visitors. ‘P.4 – P.5 Science Summer Camp’, ‘P.6 – S.1 Joint-school Young Scientists Conference’, ‘P.6 – S.2 Budding Scientists Program’ and ‘S.1 – S.3 Junior Form Biotechnology Curricula’ are examples under this program. Our exhibition was highly valued and appreciated by various scholars, parents, teachers and students. Our exhibition has achieved an overwhelming success to deliver our successful experience in science education to our audience. The education fair was held on 22nd to 23rd January, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grand Hall, Convention Centre 3, Hong Kong Science Park. 5J Shi Pok Lai, 5J Hau Pak Chuen, 4M Hi Tsz Chun, 4S Lun Shuk Chi, 2M Chan Wing Lam, 2J Yiu Choi Lam represented our school to present their unique learning experience by taking part in the above mentioned programs to the educators and visitors.
