Asia-Pacific International Model United Nations Conference 2025

26/10/2025

Our school participated in the Asia-Pacific International Model United Nations Conference held on October 25-26, 2025, at the United Nations University Institute in Macau. Organized by the Macau International Model United Nations Youth Association, United Nations University Macau, and the Asia Artificial Intelligence Alliance, this prestigious event brought together students from various countries to engage in dynamic debates on the crucial role of Artificial Intelligence in global healthcare. Sixteen of our S4 students represented our school, diving deep into the complexities of international diplomacy and the ethical implications of AI technologies.

Throughout the two-day conference, students honed their public speaking and negotiation skills while gaining a deeper understanding of global health issues and the transformative potential of AI. Acting as delegates from different countries, they navigated challenging discussions and developed critical thinking skills. Davor Orlic, the UNESCO Chair in Artificial Intelligence, honored our students with awards for their outstanding performance—one student received the Best Role-Playing Award in the Putonghua session, while another earned an Honorable Mention in the English session.
